Traditional Restoration & Building Methods By Quality Tradesmen
Here we use what's called a dog eared spike to rake out our mortar joints to a 25mm depth hand, this ensures minimal damage to the brickwork & keeps impact minimal making sure no structural issues occur. It is important you don't use power tools in this process to avoid any impact damage happening to the building. Drills are a big no no here!
Here is a demonstration of us removing pebbledash using hand tools only, this is to reduce & keep any damage to the brickwork underneath to a minimum, it also avoids any impact/structural issues being created in the removal process leaving the restoration process less cost effective & more cost efficient.
Here is a demonstration video of us carrying out a hydrofluoric acid clean on brick work, we apply the acid with a brush & a high powered jetwash to remove the stains, pollution & damp from the exterior.
Here on site we make all our own lime washes & paints by hand using our own organically sourced pigments, salts & lime
Here is a video of the team repointing a wall using an NHL 3.5 & sand only mortar.
